We landed in Singapore at 3pm meaning we had a small 18 hours to kill before our flight the next morning. We didn’t really care too much seeing as Changi Airport is the fifth busiest international airport in the world, with an average or 136,738 passengers arriving and departing daily, we knew there would be loads for us to do.
We checked into our flight for the next morning and set off to find a locker and because of this little excursion we missed the last free tour of Singapore which left from our terminal at 5:30.. Yes, your math is correct, it took us 2 and a half hours to dump our things in the lockers, there were so many shops on the way and we are too easily distracted.
By 12am we had browsed almost every shop and been to all of the free attractions in the 3 terminals, sadly for us we found out about the roof top swimming pool and the slide park a little too late. After exploring for hours on end we could easily see why it had won ‘best airport in the world’ 13 times. We were pretty much knackered and decided it was time to find ourselves a nice chair - or in my case – square of carpet to call home for the night.
Overall our experience at Changi Airport was a lot of fun, we are glad (even if our backs aren’t) that we had such a long stop here, it gave us a chance to do and see everything in the airport instead of just reading a pamphlet filled with fun on our way to our next flight.
