We cant really put our finger on why we love Kuala Lumpur so much, perhaps it's because of how it practically bursts at the seams with culture, even if the mix of Indian, Chinese and Malay is so hard to get your head around. In one street you can feel like you’re in the middle of China with red Chinese lanterns strung from building to building lining the skies, the next corner you turn can land you in a street where the aromas of India hit you at full speed. Or maybe its because for such a big city everything just works, public transport being a main factor in this, trains and buses are simple, efficient and cheap, making it super easy to get around and see the city.
After this we had our hearts set on Subway for dinner (your stomach can only handle so much curry and dumplings) however the weather had other plans. The skies opened and it absolutely poured down, we jumped off the bus at a shopping center and hid until the weather calmed down enough for us to walk back to our homestay.
I better go, my 2nd round of toast has popped and it aint gunna butter and jam itself.
