When we arrived, we again started our adventure here by sieving through the expensive accommodation and the down right dodgy to find somewhere just right. We were giving up hope a little when we were in front of yet another homestay and a young guy said to us “hey I have a room, come have a look.” We followed him up the road and down and small walkway to the homestay he worked at, which for 150krp a night it was absolutely perfect, not only did we have air conditioning and hot water, but we received the best free breakfast you could ask for, a constant free supply of tea, coffee and fruit, and free jelly cups at night. We also realized at this point Balinese Independence day means most shops were shut for the day, including the laundry services which we desperately needed, luckily we weren’t ‘inside out undies’ desperate.
The rest of our time in Ubud was spent relaxing and catching up on photo edits and blog posts, hey, we wanted to take advantage of the air conditioning.
I better go, its time for my 4th hot shower of the day.
