Our 2013 trip to Bali was accompanied by Justin's sister Emily as well as my Mum Karen and Dad Barry – both of them have never travelled further then Melbourne, a huge culture shock, to say the least. After our time in Bali, they too love it; so much so, dads convinced his retiring there.
This time we more so watched as Mum and Dad experienced Bali for the first time. We spent more time relaxing on the beach, getting drunk at our favourite beach bar and catching up with the friends we made last time (as well as meeting a whole new bunch of amazing people). We didn't do too much of the tourist attractions, instead we road around on our moped, exploring the off road tracks of Bali and I guess that gave us a little more insight into Balinese culture and living. I swear "don't worry" should be plastered onto the Balinese flag. But thats the thing we love most about Bali.

The food in Bali is absolutely amazing, I'm sure the picture to my left clearly explains that to you guys (yeah thats my future husband, jealous?) Don't be afraid to eat like the locals do - go to any Warung (a locally owned, usually family run, very small restaurant that cook good, traditional, Balinese food un-western-ised) they will serve you with the biggest and cheapest sit down meals bought in Bali. Please, please raise your hand and promise you will try banana pancakes while your over there.
I can go on and on about Bali, but as a newbie I don’t know anything about blogging etiquette, so I guess I should just stop. If you are interested - check out our top ten experiences we believe you cant miss!
